Paolo Nutini

It has been a truly incredible year for Paolo Nutini. His acclaimed No.1 album ‘Sunny Side Up’ has sold over 900,000 copies (triple platinum), making him the biggest selling British male artist of the year, a long standing fixture of the top ten since its 1st June release, the album shows absolutely no sign of stalling as we move in to 2010. Written by Paolo ‘Sunny Side Up’ was recorded in a host of places including Ireland, Wales, New York, LA and Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Bath, which is reflected by the celtic sway and motown feel to the album. It was produced by Paolo and Ethan Johns (Kings Of Leon).
It’s hard to believe that Paolo is still only 23 years old, for he has already achieved so much, from his hometown of Paisley (Scotland) to Carnegie Hall, from BRIT award nominations to supporting Led Zeppelin at their infamous O2 reunion show. His 2006 debut album ‘These Streets’ has sold over 2.3 million copies worldwide and 1.3 million copies in the UK alone.
Paolo spent 2009 touring extensively round the UK, US, Europe and Australia – not to mention the emphatic performances across the festival circuit. Having acquainted himself with the Royal Albert Hall on 12th November as part of the stellar line-up who performed in aid of Children In Need – including Take That, Sir Paul McCartney, Dizzee Rascal and Dame Shirley Bassey to name a few - Paolo will be playing two special consecutive Royal Albert Hall shows, April 8 & 9th 2010.
