About Rihanna

With its first two singles hitting #1 in the UK, “Only Girl (In the World)” and “What’s My Name” (featuring Drake), LOUD registered over 600,000 sales in it’s first 4 weeks of release. She became the first female artist of the decade to chart six #1’s on the Hot 100 when “Rude Boy” went to the top (from her previous album, Rated R). With the subsequent single releases of “California King Bed,” “Man Down,” and “Cheers (Drink To That)” from LOUD, Rihanna brought her career total of US Hot 100 chart hits to 30.  Dating back to her first week on the Hot 100, June 11th, 2005, Rihanna’s 19 Top 10s are the most of any artist in that time-span.

LOUD followed-up the double platinum selling Rated R (November 2009). Rihanna’s 6x platinum Good Girl Gone Bad (May 2007) contained the Grammy-winning global #1 hit “Umbrella” (featuring Jay-Z), then “Shut Up and Drive,” “Hate That I Love You” (featuring Ne-Yo), and “Don't Stop the Music.” The CD+DVD package Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded (January 2009) continued the hits with the #1 “Take A Bow,” and “Disturbia.” Good Girl Gone Bad was the third album release in less than two years by the Barbados native. It followed-up the 2006 platinum A Girl Like Me, which contained the back-to-back hits, “S.O.S.” and “Unfaithful”; and her gold debut from 2005, Music Of the Sun, featuring the world-wide smash, “Pon De Replay.”

As well as this, Rihanna has sold over a staggering 300,000 tickets for her UK ‘Loud’ Tour to date and to celebrate this record breaking feat she recently added her 10th and final show at the O2 London on Tuesday 20th December 2011. Rihanna has broken the venue’s record with ten shows, the longest ever for a solo female artist at The O2 arena since it opened in 2007. The Global Superstar‘s ‘Loud’ tour will now stop in 8 cities across the country, including this phenomenal 10 shows at London’s 02. The tour will show case all the star’s hits including her mega-hit singles ‘Only Girl (In The World)’, ‘Umbrella’, ‘Disturbia’ and ‘What’s My Name’ to mention a few. Rihanna’s ‘Loud’ Tour is set to be her biggest and best yet.
