We spent the day behind the curtains, backstage at the BRITs as everyone hustled and bustled to kick off tomorrow’s show. Today we saw spectacles that beggar belief. We wouldn’t have believed the things we saw ourselves, but as the bar was yet to open, we’re pretty sure we weren’t hallucinating.

For example, did you know fire could be GREEN? And BLUE? And fizzle and sparkle? We’ll, we won’t give anymore away than to say that come tomorrow you should sit way back from the telly lets you get singed by some Technicolor pyrotechnics.

Today we saw giant glitter covered polystyrene greyhounds flanking a mammoth skull that bore more than a passing resemblance to Ozzy Osbourne.

We nabbed a manicure alongside Mika’s stylist who just so happens to be his sister, who told us that even in his ascendancy, Mika still takes the subway. Bless. We got rose oil massages from Agent Provocateur girls, and saw a giant stuffed python reclining next to a Pac Man machine.
