Coldplay have won the British Group award at the 2012 BRIT Awards.

No stranger to the title, Coldplay previously took the trophy in 2001 and 2003 and also took Best British Album in 2001 and 2003 plus British Single in 2006. They also performed at this year's BRITs.

Coldplay took the title ahead of fellow nominees Arctic Monkeys, Chase & Status, Elbow and Kasabian. The scored massive success in 2011 with singles 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' and 'Paradise' as well as fifth album, 'Mylo Xyloto'.
