Mika let out an earsplitting scream when he was told he won the British Breakthrough Act. It was enough to make the dogs half way around London completely deaf. But we were right there with him.

When ADELE came up to collect her award the entire standing crowd yelped nearly as loud as Mika did. That’s because they are all kids from the BRITs school who’ve been given free tickets to the show. ADELE graduated from the BRITs school herself and they were out in force to cheer their classmate on.

Later when Fern Cotton interviewed ADELE and Mika together backstage after their wins, ADELE indicated her preference for Leona Lewis to win best single. Mika quickly pointed out that he too was up for the award. An embarassed ADELE quickly changed her support to the squeeky singer.
