It took a lifetime of achievement for Macca to win this BRIT finally, and boy did he put on a show that clearly showed he deserved it. Pyrotechnics nearly fried the crazed crowd as he belted out the lyrics to Live and Let Die, flanked by two mop-topped musicians.

The seemingly age-defying singer brought the house down with a rendition of Hey Jude where he ran back and forth across the stage one minute tickling the ivories, next minute flinging himself centre stage.
