Adele wins British Female Solo Artist

Adele has won the award for British Female Solo Artist for the second time, at The BRIT Awards 2016.

Adele took home the trophy over fellow nominees Amy Winehouse, Florence + the Machine, Jess Glynne and Laura Marling.

Adele has a long-standing history with the BRIT Awards and was the first ever recipient of the Critics’ Choice Award back in 2008.

After a musical hiatus, Adele returned with her third album 25 in 2015, breaking first week record sales in multiple countries and debuting at No. 1 all over the world.

This year Adele will be performing live at The BRITs for the first time since her unforgettable rendition of 'Someone Like You’ in 2011.
