British Male Solo Artist Nominees Announced

Two-time British Male Solo Artist winner Ed Sheeran competes for the title with Liam Gallagher, Loyle Carner, Rag’n’Bone Man and Stormzy - all first time nominees in this category.

A year after they took to the stage for a breathtaking collaboration at The BRITs 2017, Ed Sheeran and Stormzy find themselves in the running for British Male Solo Artist in 2018.

Ed has multiple BRITs to his name; he’s been nominated ten times in total, taking home four. 2018 brings his total nomination number to 14.

Stormzy is also nominated in the Mastercard British Album Of The Year category this year. He was nominated for British Breakthrough Act in 2017.

Liam Gallagher is no stranger to The BRITs, with six wins and 17 nominations as part of Oasis, including a Outstanding Contribution to Music Award in 2007 and BRITs Album of 30 Years in 2010. This is his first nomination as a solo artist.

Last year’s BRITs Critics’ Choice and British Breakthrough Act winner Rag’n’Bone Man bags a total of three nominations in 2018.

BRITs newcomer Loyle Carner also landed a British Breakthrough Act nomination, and will be looking to emulate Ed Sheeran who took home the same awards at his first BRITs in 2012.

The BRIT Awards 2018 take place at London’s O2 Arena on 21 February and will be broadcast live on ITV. You can see all the nominations here: www.brits.co.uk/nominees
