When it comes to British Video, you decide the winner! 10 videos are selected based on the number of YouTube views and once the vote opens, one act will be eliminated each week until just five remain in time for the night of the ceremony. The winner will then be decided via a live social vote on Twitter during the television and YouTube live stream broadcast on 25 February.

For Charli XCX, Duke Dumont, Route 94 and Sigma, this is their first year nominated at The BRITs, though Duke, Route 94 and Sigma are all also nominated in the British Single category. Jess Glynne, who provides vocals on Route 94’s ‘My Love’, features on no less than three nominated songs, as Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ is also nominated for British Single.

The newcomers in this category face some tough competition from the likes of Calvin Harris (five-times nominated in previous years), Ed Sheeran (four previous nominations, including two wins, and a further four nods this year) and this year’s most-nominated artist Sam Smith.

Mark Ronson and Rita Ora both have three previous BRITs nominations apiece and not only do One Direction boast seven previous nominations, they have won four BRITs in total - including last year’s award for British Video. Can they retain their title this year? You decide.

Voting for the British Video BRIT Award will open at 10.40pm on Thursday 15 January, 2015.

The BRIT Awards 2015 take place at London’s O2 Arena on 25 February and will be broadcast live on ITV at 8pm GMT. See all the nominations here.
