James Bay wins British Male Solo Artist

Last year’s BRITs Critics’ Choice winner, James Bay, has gone from strength to strength, winning the award for British Male Solo Artist at The BRITs 2016.

Bay beat out tough competition from Aphex Twin, Calvin Harris, Jamie xx and Mark Ronson to take home the award won by Ed Sheeran in 2015.

Bay released his debut album in March 2015, which raced to No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart, selling over 60,000 copies in the first week of release.

This is Bay’s second BRIT award.
