1. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) are the rules which apply to the Raymond Weil watch competition (“Competition”) offered by BRIT Awards Limited in relation to the BRIT Awards 2008 unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. The Competition is organised by BRIT Awards Limited whose registered address is Riverside Building, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7JA (“BAL”).
3. BAL reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this website. A copy of the Terms may also be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to “BRITs Competition, Legal Department, BRIT Awards Limited, Riverside Building, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7JA”.
4. The prize to be won is one Raymond Weil Freelancer watch (the “Prize”).
5. Each entrant may only enter the Competition once and a maximum of one Prize per entrant will be awarded
6. Entry is only open to residents of the United Kingdom aged eighteen years or over. Employees and members of their immediate families (including any live-in partner) of BAL, its affiliates, telecommunications and media partners, sponsor and/or agencies associated with this Competition are ineligible to enter. Any such entries will be invalid. Entry to the competition signifies acceptance of these terms and conditions. Entrants may be able to attempt to enter the Competition from outside the United Kingdom (although entry is restricted to UK residents). There is no warranty that the service is available or appropriate for use in locations outside the UK.
7. In order to enter the Competition, eligible entrants must answer the following question correctly:

8. BAL reserves the right to request written proof of age and identification of any prize winner.
9. There is no purchase requirement to enter the Competition.
10. The closing date and time for entries is 25th February 2008 at 23:59 (GMT).
11. Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date specified. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.
12. Proof of replying cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. BAL and its partners cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, viruses, bugs or other causes outside their control.
13. Eligible entrants who have answered the question correctly will be entered into a prize draw for the Prize. The prize winner will be chosen at random by an independent adjudicator from all qualifying entries on 26th February 2008. The decision of the judge(s) and BAL shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
14. The winner shall be notified by telephone no later than 36 hours before the BRIT Awards 2008.
15. In the event that BAL or its agent is reasonably unable to contact a prize winner for whatever reason that prize winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected.
16. The winner’s claim for the Prize must be made within the time and in the manner notified to the relevant prize winner upon notification. Failure to claim the Prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
17. The Prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. BAL reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of equal or greater value to the Prize at any time.
18. The Prize is awarded at BAL’s discretion and no Prize shall be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.
19. The name of the winner of the Prize shall be posted on the website www.brits.co.uk by 26th March 2008.
20. BAL cannot accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting the Prize or the contents of the Prize. BAL is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any or any computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet, telephone lines or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Competition. Nothing shall exclude BAL’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of negligence.
21. The winner of the Prize and may be requested to take part in promotional activity and BAL reserves the right to use the name and locations of the winner of the Prize, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity.
22. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and in line with BAL’s privacy policy which can be found here: www.brits.co.uk/privacy.
23. These Terms shall be governed by English law and, in the event of any dispute, BAL and each entrant submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
