Adele takes Mastercard Album!
A massive congratulations to Adele for winning Mastercard Album of the Year with her album ‘30’.The other nominees in this competitive category were Dave with ‘We’re Alone In This Together’, Ed Sheeran with ‘=’, Little Simz with ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ & Sam Fender with ‘Seventeen Going Under’.
This will be the third time Adele has won a BRIT Award for Mastercard Album of the year, having previously picked up the award for her sophomore album ’21’ and again for her 2015 release, ‘25’.
Adele has said her album ‘30’ was written as a way of explaining her divorce to her son Angelo and includes intimate voice notes between the pair. This poignant album is perhaps her most personal offering and will be sure to give fans a glimpse into the artist’s life since releasing ‘25’ in 2015.
Adele performed to an overjoyed audience at the 2022 BRIT Awards ceremony after releasing last year’s best-selling album ‘30’, her first new music since 2015.
