He's joined by Dave and Lewis Capaldi, who are the most nominated artists at this year's BRITs with four nominations each. They both had huge success in 2019 with Dave winning the Hyundai Mercury Prize and Capaldi hitting No. 1 in multiple countries including the UK and the US.
Mabel, who has a total of three nominations, is recognised following a year in which she released her debut album, 'High Expectations' which went to No. 3 in the charts.
Last year's Critics' Choice Award winner Sam Fender completes the list - he too had his first album out in 2019; the critically acclaimed 'Hypersonic Missles'.
