British Female Solo Artist Nominees Announced

A first time British Female nominee, newcomer Dua Lipa is in the running for five BRIT awards this year, making her the most nominated act for 2018.

Former BRIT School student Kate Tempest also earns her very first nomination this year. She was also shortlisted for the Mercury Prize in 2017.

Laura Marling and Paloma Faith have both previously won this award, Laura in 2011 and Paloma in 2015. They are also tied for nominations, with four each.

Jessie Ware has been nominated for three BRIT Awards since 2013, but is yet to win.

The BRIT Awards 2018 take place at London’s O2 Arena on 21 February and will be broadcast live on ITV. You can see all the nominations here: www.brits.co.uk/nominees
