Celebrating 40 years of The BRITs!

'The BRITs at 40' will be a two hour TV special on Tuesday 11 February at 8pm, airing on ITV and STV.

Hosted by Jack Whitehall, the show delves into our archive and looks back on all the amazing moments and special highlights over the last four decades from the biggest night in British music.

'The BRITs at 40' also includes exclusive interviews  from BRIT Awards alumni Mel B, Robbie Williams, Mick Fleetwood, Little Mix, Sam Smith, Sharon Osbourne, Dua Lipa, Davina McCall, Dizzee Rascal, Paloma Faith, Sir Tom Jones, Rick Astley and many more.

Since our first Awards show in 1977, we've seen performances from British icons including: Paul McCartney, Elton John, David Bowie, Spice Girls and Adele, and international stars such as Prince, Jay Z, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac and P!nk.

We've also helped launch some of the past decade's most loved British Artists with the Rising Star Award (previously Critics' Choice Award), including Adele, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding and Sam Fender, which serves as a significant platform for emerging music talent - and even more so this year as we'll excitingly see 2020 Rising Star Award winner Celeste perform in the main show.t

'The BRITs at 40' airs a week before The BRIT Awards 2020, which will take place on Tuesday 18 February at The O2 Arena in London and will feature live performances from Billie Eilish, Celeste, Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi, Mabel and Stormzy! 

There'll be more exciting updates in the weeks leading up to the big night, as we celebrate the best of British music from the past year in what is sure to be an epic 40th Show!
