Critics' Choice - Winner Revealed Today

Winner: Jessie J

Last week we exclusively brought you the shortlist and today we reveal that Essex born Jessie J is the winner. We'd like to congratulate Jessie on this fantastic achievement and we can't wait to see her perform at our Launch Event on Thursday 13th January which will also be televised on ITV2 on Friday 14th January at 8pm. Our past winners have been Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine and Adele so we know Jessie is going to do amazingly well.

After hearing about her win, Jessie said: "This is epic! It has been a dream since I was a little girl to win a BRIT. I can't believe it's happened!"

In second place we have James Blake and in third The Vaccines. Judging by the winners this year, 2011 is going to be a brilliant year for music.

For the second year running, the Critics’ Choice Award will be presented in association with War Child, an international charity that protects

children living in the world’s most dangerous war zones.
