The BRIT Awards 2012: live on ITV1

What are your plans for 21 February 2012? Whatever you had in mind - cancel it. Draw the curtains and get settled in front of the TV, because it's BRIT Awards with MasterCard night.

Broadcast live from The O2 in London, The BRIT Awards will be shown on ITV1 from 8pm, but for those of you who want a little Red Carpet action as well, we'll be broadcasting live between 7-8 on ITV2 and speaking to all the guests as they arrive at The BRITs 2012.

Some of the biggest stars of the past 12 months in music will be performing on the night, including Rihanna, Coldplay, Noel Gallagher, Florence & The Machine, Ed Sheeran, Blur and Bruno Mars.

Also making a very welcome return to the BRITs stage is Adele, looking to repeat the success of her showstopping performance of 'Someone Like You' at the 2011 event. There wasn't a dry eye in the house last year, so have the tissues at the ready...

James Corden will be resuming his duties as host once again and we'll be backstage with Phil Clifton shooting exclusive backstage interviews with all the guests and nominees for brits.co.uk. It's going to be a big one!
