Ed Sheeran to perform at The BRITs 2017!

Ed Sheeran will be performing at The BRIT Awards later this month! Seeing in 2017 with the biggest musical comeback in recent years, 25-year-old Ed has further proved his colossal status in the world of music with his dual comeback singles ‘Shape Of You’ and ‘Castle On The Hill’. These two singles have dominated the charts, with Ed becoming the first-ever artist to chart at No.1 and No.2 in the UK's Official Singles Chart. He also landed his first US No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ed's highly-anticipated third studio album ‘÷’ (divide) will be released on March 3.

BRIT Awards Chairman and Chairman of Sony Music UK & Ireland Jason Iley said: “We are delighted to announce that Ed Sheeran will be performing at this year’s BRIT Awards. Ed continues to be one of the most exciting, innovative artists in the world - constantly pushing boundaries with everything he does. This year's exclusive performance will be a very special moment for the 37th BRIT Awards.”

Ed is no stranger to The BRIT Awards. Since winning ‘British Breakthrough Act’ at The BRITs in 2012, Ed has taken home a total of four BRITs trophies including the highly coveted ‘Mastercard British Album of the Year’ for his 2014 album ‘x’ (multiply).

Ed is renowned as being an incredible live performer – in July 2015 he took to the stage of Wembley Stadium solo, becoming the first-ever artist to headline the venue without a band. Ed played to 240,000 people across three consecutive sold out nights. His upcoming tour, which in May will take in two shows at The O2 Arena in London, sold out in minutes when general sale commenced last week.

Ed Sheeran joins The BRITs 2017 line-up alongside Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Emeli Sandé, The 1975, Bruno Mars and Skepta. 

The BRIT Awards will be broadcast live on ITV on Wednesday 22 February 2017 from The O2 Arena, London.
