British Female Solo Artist

The first award of the night was awarded to previous Critics' Choice winner, Emeli Sandé. This is the fourth BRIT Award that Emeli has received to date. She went on to deliver a perfect performance of her latest single, 'Hurts'.

British Group

The 1975 picked up the award for British Group ahead of their performance of 'The Sound' later on in the ceremony. They then used their acceptance speech to encourage people to stand up for what they believe in, telling people that if they have a platform, they should use it.

British Male Solo Artist and Mastercard British Album of the Year

David Bowie posthumously won two awards at The BRITs 2017, celebrating the music that he brought to the world. Actor Michael C. Hall collected his award for British Male, while his son Duncan Jones made an emotional speech in tribute to his father while collecting the award for Mastercard British Album of the Year.

British Breakthrough Act

Collecting his second award, Rag'n'Bone Man won British Breakthrough Act as well as Critics' Choice at The BRITs 2017. Winning the award through a public vote, the Brighton based vocalist was left nearly speechless during his acceptance speech, managing to thank his fans for voting.

BRITs Global Success Award

After another massive year, Adele won this year's BRITs Global Success Award. Not being able to attend the awards herself, Adele thanked via video message from Australia, saying that "It means the world to me."

British Single

After opening up The BRITs 2017 with their amazing performance of 'Shout Out To My Ex', Little Mix collected their first ever BRIT Award for British Single for the same song. Not only did they shout out their exs' for providing them the inspiration to write the song, but also showed real girl power, saying "These guys are my best friends, I love you guys so much."

British Artist Video of The Year

Fighting off competition from the nine other contenders in the category, One Direction won British Video through a public vote on Twitter. Liam Payne collected the award on behalf of the band, thanking the fans for their devotion.

International Male

Drake won the award for International Male at The BRITs 2017. He thanked his UK fans for their support, saying that it was possibly one of the most important awards he could win, as well as giving BRITs 2017 performer Skepta a shout out.

International Female

This year Beyoncé fought off competition from Christine and The Queens, Rihanna, Sia and her sister Solange to win BRITs International Female. Having released her album, 'Lemonade' last year, Beyoncé has had a massive year.

International Group

After a huge comeback in 2016, A Tribe Called Quest won this year's award for International Group.
