Jack Whitehall Host BRITs 2019

Jack Whitehall Returns!

JACK’S BACK!

Award-winning comedian and actor Jack Whitehall returns to host The BRIT Awards 2019 with Mastercard, after his debut at this year’s ceremony.

Described at The BRITs this year by the press as ‘a legend’ and ‘the best host in years’, he received an incredible reception from fans and media alike for his inaugural hosting duties, which saw him open the 2018 show with a hilarious opening sequence featuring rapper/comedian Big Shaq.

Bringing his sharp wit and edgy humour to proceedings - and no doubt a few surprises too - Jack will steer the 2019 ITV live show through twelve award categories and several performances from British and international artists.

Jack Whitehall said: “I am excited to be invited back to host The BRITs for a second time, I had a great time at this year’s ceremony and look forward to another exceptional night of music and entertainment.”

BRITs Chairman and Chairman & CEO of Sony Music UK and Ireland Jason Iley said:  “Jack was one of the best BRITs hosts the show has seen for many years – I’m delighted he has decided to do it again next year. He was so funny and very engaging, I can’t wait to see what he will bring to the show in 2019.”

As an actor, writer, stand-up comedian and host, Jack Whitehall has established himself as one of the most exciting emerging talents.  Jack can currently be seen in Disney’s ‘The Nutcracker and The Four Realms’ alongside Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, and Morgan Freeman, and stars in Disney's upcoming ‘Jungle Cruise’ opposite Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.

An accomplished stand-up comedian, Jack completed two sell out arena tours in 2014 and 2017 (the latter of which included three sold out nights at London’s O2 Arena). His awards include the ‘People's Choice Award’ for the ‘King of Comedy’ at the 2012 and 2013 British Comedy Awards, in addition to being nominated in 2011, alongside nominations for ‘Best Male Comedy Breakthrough Artist’ at the British Comedy Awards 2010 and ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2009. The BRITs is not the only major awards show he has hosted; Jack has been at the helm of The British Fashion Awards four times to date, and the BAFTA Britannia Awards three times.

He joins an impressive alumni of BRITs hosts which in recent years has included: James Corden, Ant & Dec, Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis.

Mastercard cardholders can buy tickets for The BRIT Awards 2019 during the exclusive priority booking period, Tuesday 4 to Thursday 20 December 2018, at Priceless.com/BRITs.
